6th Annual Buffalo Soldiers Heritage Festival

We have invited several of our local Public Safety Agencies from the City of Thomasville and the County.

Also, public Emergency Transport Agencies. They will to come celebrate along with the area Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Clubs, from Tallahassee, Jacksonville, Tampa, Orlando, Panama City, Columbus, Ft. Rucker, AL, Albany and our own Thomasville Area Buffalo Soldiers 9th and 10th Calvary Unit. This is an educational day for all of our youth and guest to hear stories from the Buffalo Soldiers and from our local professionals from Public Safety Agencies to talk about their careers.

Our guest speaker, Mr. Willis Hakim Jones, owner of the collection Make Do, The African and Gullah Geechee Connection which is one of the largest collections of Islamic artifacts in the southeast, and perhaps the United States. Jones, a Gullah Geechee descendant, acquiring artifacts relative to Gullah Geechee history and culture in the United States.
